Introduction
This project explores the design, infrastructure, and future development of a selected airport. Our analysis covers key aspects such as airfield configuration, terminal layout, and groundside transportation, highlighting what makes this airport stand out. Additionally, we examine expansion plans and potential challenges, assessing how the airport can adapt to future industry demands. Through strategic planning and design evaluation, this project showcases the critical elements that contribute to an airport’s success.
What I Learned
Through the Changi Airport project, I gained a comprehensive understanding of airport design and infrastructure. I learned how to assess and analyze airfield configuration, terminal layout, and groundside transportation to ensure optimal efficiency. This project also gave me insights into the challenges airports face with expansion and how they plan for future growth to meet increasing demand. It enhanced my ability to think strategically about airport operations and design, and I learned the importance of integrating current trends and technologies into future planning.
